Booking Australian musicians, comedians, celebrities and other entertainers could be about to get easier, with the launch of an expanded talent directory featuring more than 9,000 performers and personalities. [...] The platform, called acta, has introduced AI-powered tools to help event organisers, brands and agencies find and book talent across music, comedy, sport, television, content creation and other entertainment sectors.

The subscription-based service features more than 6,000 represented acts and 3,000 independent performers, following an industry-led equity and crowdfunding campaign in November 2025 that raised more than $2 million from over 250 investors. [...] The updated platform will allow users to identify potential talent via its AI tools, based on specific briefs, budgets and requirements. Integrations with Spotify, Bandsintown, and Meta will also provide access to music, touring information and audience insights.

Bookers can search the directory directly or post opportunities that are distributed to matching talent and their representatives, creating additional opportunities for both established and emerging performers.
